Busy month of preparations. Photographer Dawn McLeod photographed my entire opus of artworks, new and existing. Well, almost… we keep finding things. I am finishing a couple of new pieces at my northern studio while moving boxes and preparing my Drayton church/concert hall/bedroom for sale.
northern studio aka paradise, no bugs, no snow, enjoy it while it lasts
dealing with the past by making fun trips to the dump,
learning different ways to jump start the little Honda
buffing the concert hall windows [rear view] for it’s immanent sale
And finding time to visit friends, take my son to the airport for international job interviews and finishing writing for my technique book [Solitary Refinement], edited and typeset by fellow bassoonist Kevin Harris… that will be a whole newsletter in itself when I finally finish. Contains my career-generated technique exercises and yoda-like pronouncements on the value of systematic & persistent discipline in the pursuit of musical exuberance.
Oh, and I am back on coffee.
Over and out.
